Should Sony cut the price of the PS3 or not?

Boss in charge Howard Stringer stated that the company would lose a great deal of money on every PS3 if the price is cut. What do you think? Should Sony implement a PS3 price cut either now or in the very near future? or is it wise to just ignore the price cut and settle for smaller sales with a steady profit? Whats your take on this...
